Starfish is always on the lookout for quality programming.
Starfish welcomes programming from nonprofits and other cause-driven organizations.
At present, there is no charge to air programming. The related costs will be covered
by acknowledgment fees, grants and donations. Starfish is working to develop relationships
with the existing sponsors of our program partners, and will match new sponsors
with qualified nonprofit organizations.
But Starfish is not indiscriminate. All programming must meet Starfish's standards
for propriety and quality. In accordance with Starfish's nonprofit mission and purpose,
the programming must also be educational and informative.
Programming must also meet our format requirements.
If you believe you meet these standards and would like to join with the many other
fine causes whose programming has aired on Starfish, please contact us.
After we receive your contact information, a Starfish representative will contact
you ASAP.
It happens every day. People see the programming on Starfish and are moved to do
something more... volunteer, donate, spread the word... or do some other good work.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Starfish can accept donations on behalf of any of the
organizations you see featured on-air. In most cases your donation is tax deductible
(consult your tax advisor).
If you prefer to donate your time or money directly, we can also pass on contact
information so that you can make contact with a charity or cause seen on the channel.
Starfish also welcomes your donations of time and money. A donation of money or
volunteer effort to the Starfish Television Network Foundation is well spent. And because we work with
such a broad range of charities, your donations go a long way to improving the broader
world.
Collaborations between nonprofit and for-profit entities are commonplace because
they bring benefits to both parties.
A relationship with the Starfish Television Network... a 501(c)(3) public nonprofit...
can offer corporate sponsors a variety of benefits, including:
- enhance your brand, even increase sales
- heighten customer loyalty
- boost your company's public image
- help build employee morale and loyalty
- improve employee productivity, skills and teamwork
- help build a bank of public goodwill that serves as a kind of public reputation
'insurance.'
But because Starfish is also a television channel... the only one like it in North
America... it can go one step further and offer sponsors on-air recognition.
For grantmaking foundations, an alliance with Starfish offers the opportunity to
reach an audience already warm to causes using the powerful means of television.
Because we are subject to rules and regulations of both the IRS and the FCC, we
are proscribed from anything that could be construed as a traditional advertisement;
but we can provide effective recognition and acknowledgment in accordance with the
'PBS' model. We can do even more on our website. Let us provide you with the details.
If you're interested in sponsorship opportunities, let's talk.
